British born model turned actor Upen Patel has already made waves in Bollywood and now is about to do the same in the UK.

He was first propelled into the spotlight after winning Zee TV’s modelling competition in 2002, and subsequently went on to work for such big brands as Hugo Boss and Paul Smith. A move into film seemed inevitable and since 2006 he's bagged a string of roles in big Indian productions, before being cast in his first major British film in 2012, The Runaways, alongside former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan. Although it's yet to have a release date in the UK, in the meantime he’s starred in three more Bollywood based films due to hit the big screen in 2013 and 2014. A regular on the London club scene, Patel – who also DJs – is sure to mirror his success in Indian on Britain’s shores in the coming years.
